I&#8217;m from the UK. I grew up in the South East of England, on Canvey Island in the Thames Estuary. Around age 20 I moved to the Lake District, and settled for a while near Lancaster. I have very fond memories of Lancaster and the surrounding areas. Of all the places I&#8217;ve been in the UK, Lancaster is the place I think of as &#8216;home&#8217;. I no longer have a house there, but this is what my home looked like when I lived there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.lolyco.com\/sean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/frontfrommikes.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-6\" title=\"9 Moorside Road\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.lolyco.com\/sean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/frontfrommikes.jpeg\" alt=\"9 Moorside Road\" width=\"150\" height=\"112\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The house was about 200 years old, and is part of an extension on a house built in 1770. The original house was divided into 3 separate dwellings long ago. There are 2 small rooms upstairs, and the area downstairs is just under 6m x 4m. I miss my Renault Clio. I&#8217;ve been driving a Proton Wira in Malaysia for the last 2 years. It&#8217;s a pity Malaysia wasn&#8217;t a French colony.
